Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure

Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure offers guided rock climbing in one of the premier rock climbing areas on the East Coast, Red River Gorge Kentucky. A guided trip hosted by Torrent Falls includes a day of climbing that is catered to an individual's skill set. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced climber we offer classes that meet your level.

Course Curriculm may include but is not limited too:

• Basic rock climbing safety
• Different types of climbing
• Knot tying
• Belay techniques
• Climbing techniques
• Different types of gear and gear maintenance
• Introduction to lead climbing
• How to retrieve gear after climbing
• Climbing ethics

Every guided trip is with an AMGA (American Mountain Guide Association) certified guide. Guiding in the Gorge can be on either Sport or Traditional climbs. Because rock climbing is an intensive and challenging sport, we recommend multiple visits.

All of our rock climbing and rappelling is guided by AMGA (American Mountain Guides Association) certified guides. This is a national certification and for more information one can contact AMGA. In addition, all of our guides have Wilderness Firt Aid certification.

Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure can host AMGA training by bringing in AMGA certified instructors. Please call for more information.

High Angle Rescue and Training has also been completed at Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure.

Guided Climbing and Guided Rappelling Pricing can be either half day or full day. Half day is 3-4 hours. Full day is 6-8 hours. ***THE PRICING IS PER PERSON.*** Pricing is subject to change without notice.

Season Open: March 1 through December 1
Hours Open: Half Day trips are booked at either 9 am or 2 pm. Full Day trips start at 9 am.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for Guided Climbing however, it is recommended to be 6 years of age or older. If one is 14 years of age or younger an adult will be required to be present, but does not have to participate.

Skill Level: No prior experience is necessary. Our certified guides are great at meeting you at your level and challenging you from there. Generally these classes are designed to be taken over multiple visits with the goal of getting you to climb safely on your own.
