Season Open
Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure is open from the first weekend in March until the last weekend in November. The opening weekend and closing weekend are weather dependent, i.e. if there is ice on the cable and rock we may not be able to open to the fullest extent. You may call for detailed updates.
Hours of operation are from 9 in the morning until dusk. If you are wanting to climb the via ferrata the last gear up session is 5pm. This will allow you enough time to climb before it becomes dark.

Weather
Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure is open even if it is raining. If there is a severe lightning and thurderstorm, activites will be postened until the storm passes. The summer on average reaches temperatures of about 90 degrees Farhenheit, so bring plently of fluids to drink. The late fall on average reaches temperatures in the upper 40s. Dress in layers you can become hot while climbing. Click below for a link to local weather.

Rain Policy:
The via ferrata can still be climbed in the rain. If it is lightning or thundering heavily, we will ask that you get down at the nearest exit.
For the most part Guided Climbing and Rappelling can also be completed in the rain. Some climbing crags in the Red River Gorge stay dry due to overhanging cliff lines. Be advised to a bring rain jacket however, because you may be required to hike in the rain.

We do not refund the deposit for any reason. Torrent Falls is not responsible for the weather. Weather is not predictable. You may reschedule. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.
