Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure

About Us

Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure began in September of 2001 and has been a family owned and operated business since then. Torrent Falls is managed by the Meyer family. Mark and Kathy and their two daughters Nicole and Allie have enjoyed owning and operating Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure and continue to dream and grow.

The Climbing Adventure was built by Roc Adventures in about a month. This team from France was a fun group to get to know.
Mark and Kathy are highly creditied with the start of Torrent Falls. Mark was a mechanical engineer for 15 years of his life when he and his wife, a dedicated stay-at-home mom, decided to start their own business. In 1998 Mark and Kathy bought Torrent Falls Bed and Breakfast and owned and operated this for ten years. While the B&B was still in operation Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure was started in 2001. A few short years later, they sold the B&B and currently operate the Climbing Adventure. They have grown to love the beauty of the Red River Gorge region.
Nicole has graduated from the University of Kentucky in May of 2009 with a double degree in Business Management and Finance. Since graduting, she has became the manager of Torrent Falls.

Nicole has throughly enjoyed growing up in the beautiful Red River Gorge, and participating in the business. With a heart for the business and a love for people, Nicole can't wait to see it grow.

Nicole received her AMGA Certification in 2004 and has been guiding in the Red River Gorge ever since. Other certifications include WFA and TRRTL2.
